Primary Job Purpose: To provide support to the Curriculum Director, assisting with managing the curriculum area. The Curriculum Manager will assume some responsibility for the day-to-day running of the curriculum area, particularly in the event of the absence of the Curriculum Director.
The post holder will support the Curriculum Director in the day-to-day operational management of the specified area, and deliver against the agreed annually set key performance indicators. The post holder will support the Curriculum Director on the innovative development of the curriculum offer and delivery models, ensuring that a curriculum offer is in place which meets the needs of both learners and other stakeholders, and leads to high-quality outcomes and sustainable destinations for learners.
The role is focused on developing career pathways that lead to the progression of students and to their relevant destinations through driving up the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. The focus will also be on regular monitoring, CPD planning and support, through engagement with the Teaching Skills Academy, and Human Resources processes where necessary. This focus is also extended to taking accountability for student engagement and success with English and Maths within the curriculum area.
The role of the Curriculum Manager is focused on the progression of students and career pathways that drive up the quality of teaching, learning and assessment of our students.
Hospitality Commercial The post holder will be responsible for the operations of Orpington Bakehouse and BR6 as well as the Greenwich campus catering service. Supported by the restaurant manager, this includes hiring, training and overseeing the staff, making sure that the restaurant is maintained to a high operating condition and ensuring that things run smoothly when the restaurant is open.
The post holder will ensure there is a sustainable staffing model to support the commercial operation, while growing a customer base including new and repeat customers, innovative income initiatives and services such as business catering and click and collect offers.
