Lecturer of Foundation Learning
Hugh Baird College is a vibrant forward looking College that is graded Good by Ofsted, has a growing A level provision, and a dedicated HE provision. We are also the only education provider in the Liverpool City Region to pilot the delivery of the new ‘revolutionary’ technical qualifications T Levels. Our staff are skilled, high performing and committed to our learners and we now wish to appoint an individual who shares this commitment into the role of Lecturer in learning for Life/Foundation learning and Thornton College provision.
In this role you will have experience of teaching and delivering specific programmes to learners who have been / or at risk of becoming NEET and help learners by supporting them to progress. You will also undertake quality assurance and improvement activities relating to teaching, learning and assessment, including as part of the College’s central learning observation team.
You will be an outstanding teacher and be able to demonstrate experience of challenging staff to improve performance and implementing actions plans to support improvement. Experience of effectively maintaining a disciplined learning environment and addressing any behaviour concerns in a timely manner.
