A Primary Teacher, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team, playing a pivotal role in creating a positive and engaging classroom environment that nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of wonder. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and vibrant classroom that supports each child's individual needs and learning styles. You'll design and implement creative lesson plans that align with the curriculum, fostering academic growth while also promoting social and emotional development. Your patience, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with young learners will contribute to a classroom where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and collaborate with their peers. The Class Teacher will: implement agreed school policies and guidelines; support initiatives decided by the Headteacher and staff; plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks; be able to set clear targets, based on prior attainment, for pupils learning; provide a stimulating classroom environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils; keep appropriate and efficient records, integrating formative and summative assessment into weekly and termly planning; report to parents on the development, progress and attainment of pupils; maintain good order and discipline amongst pupils, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy; take part in and contribute to meetings that relate to teaching/curriculum; cooperate with and, where appropriate, advise the head teacher and other colleagues in the review, development and management of a subject in the school; communicate and co-operate with specialists from outside agencies; plan for, organise and direct the work of support staff within the classroom; participate in the performance management system for the appraisal of their own performance, or that of other teachers; Candidate Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/ECT.) Experience teaching in a Primary School/ KS1 experience Extensive understanding of the National Curriculum and age-appropriate teaching strategies, to plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons. Sound knowledge and experience of teaching Phonics. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
