Salary: £25,718 - £33,528

Hours Per Week: 35

About the Job:

The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver high quality teaching and learning in the curriculum area of Engineering.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

• To carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials and student assessment.
• To act as a personal tutor to a group/s of students.
• To prepare learning materials and students' assignments.
• To mark students' work and examinations, moderation and verification.
• To operate as part of a team in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme(s).

About You

• Degree or equivalent qualification in the area of Engineering Design (including 2D, 3D CAD and Technical Drawing)
• Recognised full teaching and assessing qualification and successful teaching experience. If the applicant does not possess a teaching qualification he/she must undertake to successfully complete a Certificate of Education within 2 years of appointment.
• Level 2 or above literacy/English and numeracy/maths qualifications.
• Experience of teaching Engineering Design (including 2D, 3D CAD and Technical Drawing) upto level 6.
• Experience of working with external agencies.
• Knowledge of Engineering Design (including 2D, 3D CAD and Technical Drawing) up to level six.
