Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at one of our primary schools in west Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and behavioral support to the school's staff and students. If you have experience supporting teachers in a classroom setting and a passion for education, this is the ideal opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons
• Provide individual support to students as needed
• Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and safe classroom environment
• Grade assignments and provide feedback to students
• Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing lesson materials and maintaining classroom organization
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the teacher or school principal

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or similar role
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies
• Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
