Lecturer - GCSE English

Here at Kingston College, we are seeking a Lecturer to teach a combination of GCSE English Language and English Functional Skills. The GCSE teaching will be predominantly to students aged 16-19 years of age.

You will be responsible for preparing students for June exams, marking home works and mock exams, student monitoring and where appropriate, curriculum development. The expectation is that high levels of student attainment will be achieved.

We're looking for someone who holds a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and who has excellent teaching skills in GCSE English and / or Functional Skills English. You will have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education and be able to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress. We would also like you to be hardworking and flexible, be able to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning and have an awareness of academic quality standards.
