ABC Teachers are proud to offer an exciting opportunity for individuals to gain valuable experience and knowledge to be a Teaching Assisant . Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided. Teaching Assistances are essential to the smooth running of ABC Teachers and the Secondary Schools we work with. The responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant include assisting teachers in lessons support students who need additional support within lessons. These students may have Special Edcational Needs or requires additional support due to falling behind in their studiess because of the pandemics. You will not be expected to plan, mark or assess. We are looking for confident, adaptable and motivated individuals to successfully facilitate learning to students and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
The Secondary Schools we work with are friendly and welcoming to new staff. Staff who are successfully able to create a positive impact to the school are often asked for on a regular or long-term basis, this may also lead to permanent roles. They have a strong team ethos and will endeavour to support you in your development. There is on-site parking and nearby public transport links to many of our schools, making them easily accessible.
Requirements
The successful Cover Supervisor will have;
All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
