Position: Hospitality and Catering Lecturer

Location: West Yorkshire

Pay: £22.41 - £25 per hour

Contract: Part time, Temporary

Reed - Further Education are seeking a Hospitality and Catering Lecturer to work in a FE college in West Yorkshire to deliver lessons to 14 - 18-year-olds.

What's the day-to-day responsibilities of a Hospitality and Catering Lecturer?

  • Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
  • Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
  • Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire the learner to improve and record learners' progress for identified modules.
  • Carry out internal verification duties in line with quality assurance processes.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Ability to plan, deliver and assess quality teaching across identified modules/units.
  • Exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance learner journey and progression
  • Exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills
  • IT literate including knowledge of coding/programming. Also word processing, spreadsheets and databases i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Google platforms
