Regional Manager Positions - MENA and India / China and SE Asia (ASEAN)

Up to £55k - Home based with International travel

Led by employers, our job at the Semta Group is to transform the skills and productivity of the people who power our engineering and advanced manufacturing technologies sectors, enabling UK industry to compete on the global stage. We bring together employers and education to focus action on skills.

Due to expansion, we are looking for two Regional Managers to join our International team and lead our engagement in both the Indian and MENA and China and SE Asia (ASEAN) markets.

All of these markets have been identified as priority areas in our international strategy. We have current delivery interests in Oman, India, China and Indonesia all of which are expected to provide an ideal springboard to further develop our international activity.

Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) has a hugely important role to play in the economic transformation of these regions and the focus that these jobs will provide will help Semta Group to make a valuable contribution to this exciting agenda.

Working with clients, internal and external delivery resource, you will design, deliver and evaluate solutions leading to positive impacts in the social and economic measures of the appropriate regions and secure ongoing income for the Semta Group. Reporting to the International Development Director, you will focus on developing business opportunities and identify and secure profitable income for our business.

MENA and India

MENA and India have been identified as key strategic areas by the UK Government which has put in place a number of bilateral agreements to help promote UK trade opportunities. These include the Prosperity Fund, UK India Educational Research Initiative (UKIERI), the Newton Bhabha fund and the British Council Skills for Employability programme. This role will allow Semta Group to be strategically placed to effectively access and contribute to these initiatives. Globally recognisable and certificated skills and standards are in huge demand in these markets which makes for an excellent match to our international offer.

China and SE Asia (ASEAN)

This role will focus on developing business opportunities in China and the wider SE Asia region. These markets have also been identified as priorities in the Semta international strategy
