We are working with the UK's leading sustainable travel organisations to recruit a School Streets Officer to support Sheffield City Council's schools to support them to improve safety around the school gates, increase active journeys to and from school and improve air quality around schools. The successful candidate will be working closely with Council Officers to deliver, implement, maintain, monitor and evaluate School Street schemes across Sheffield.
This role will involve working as part of a project team including, Sheffield City Council, Project Manager and PWLC Projects. Key responsibilities will include :
This is a 30 hour per week working on a fixed term contract starting in April 2024 to 31st March 2025 with the option to extend. This role will be based in Sheffield and the post holder will be expected to regularly travel to schools on a regular basis. By its very nature this role will involve travelling and working outside in all weather conditions and occassional overnight stays away from home, weekend, early and late working may be required.
