It is now looking to expand its services by opening up access to our specialist facilities for the benefit of local SMEs through our Innovation Hub. We want to support local employers as they look to innovate in their business or drive productivity, by offering technical support in adoption of new engineering and manufacturing processes. The Innovation Consultant plays a pivotal role in driving technological innovation and productivity enhancements within manufacturing and engineering SME’s within the Black Country. The primary purpose of this position is to leverage technical expertise to assess and understand the barriers to innovation within businesses. The Innovation Consultant is responsible for conducting comprehensive technical assessments, developing tailored support plans, and collaborating closely with businesses to implement innovative solutions. The Innovation Consultant will engage with businesses in the Black Country, working hand in hand with employers to understand their barriers to innovation. The ultimate goal is to facilitate positive and tangible outcomes, including the adoption of innovation technologies such as CNC, automation and robotics, CAD, rapid prototyping and materials testing.
