After School Supervisor

Term Time Teachers, are currently working closely with local schools to Tunbridge Wells area, who are needing support after school for their wrap-around care programmes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring After-School Club supervisor to join our agency on a day-to-day basis.

In this role, you will help supervise and engage with children aged 5-12 years, ensuring they enjoy a wide range of activities, from arts and crafts to sports and homework support. You will play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and supportive atmosphere where children can thrive.

The position is part time; Working hours can be; 3.15pm - 17/18:15 on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring the safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to carers at the end of each day.

The planning and preparation of safe, creative, appropriate activities, in a fun and caring environment

Keeping children safe and minimising risks in the wrap-around-care environment including daily risk assessment checks.

Preparing and serving snacks/refreshments for the children ensuring that hygiene, health and safety measures are met.

Administering and recording first aid as appropriate.

Responsible for setting up the room for daily activities and assisting with the care and cleanliness of the space and equipment, including tidying up at the end of the day.

Positive management of children's behaviour

Adhering to the Policies and Procedures, laid out by the schools.

The ability to work positively and effectively both individually and as part of a team, cooperation and respect are essential.



What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with both children and adults.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development and well being.
  • First aid training (desirable but not essential).
