Position Overview:

Bicton College is seeking a motivated and proactive individual to manage all aspects of the L2 Arboriculture Apprenticeship Programme and provide a positive, fun and safe experience for all learners enrolled that enables them to achieve to their maximum potential. The Arboriculture Apprenticeship Programme Manager will also be responsible for delivering arboriculture lessons and training at levels 2 & 3. The role will involve managing learners' progression, ensuring the criteria is being met for the apprenticeship standard and teaching theory & practical arboriculture. This role involves a blend of theoretical and practical teaching, utilising our modern equipment and the extensive arboretum and wider estate available at Bicton College.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to apprentices and FE students in Arboriculture Level 2 and Level 3 programmes.
  • Manage all aspects of the learner journey and ensure records are accurate.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, enabling students to achieve their full potential.
  • Utilise the college's modern equipment and facilities for both practical and theoretical instruction.

Requirements:
-
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-qualifying experience in Arboriculture.
  • Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring practical Arboriculture skills.
  • A full teaching qualification, such as PGCE, DET, or Certificate of Education, or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment.
  • Relevant industry-recognised qualifications in Arboriculture.
