About the role
This is a new and exciting role that both leads on and supports the development and delivery of a broad, high quality and efficient curriculum offer of both classroom and practical-based, FE and commercial programmes, in the areas listed below:
You will design and deliver Electrical renewables programs, predominantly but not exclusively commercial full cost programs, from a state-of-the-art Net Zero Centre boasting 6 fully functioning electrical renewals bays (Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV charging) and 6 Heat pump bays, including solar thermal and dual fuel.
You will lead and support a small team in the development and delivery of a forward-looking Engineering and Manufacturing curricula, incorporating the demand for change within the sector, driven by net zero targets, new and emerging technologies, increasing regional skills shortages and many local major infrastructure projects.
The centre also boasts state-of-the-art Engineering and Manufacturing practical resources amounting to 10 practical workshops across 3 campuses all of which meet or exceed industry standards.
You will maintain and build upon the outstanding stakeholder relationships already established with many key employers, enhance the learner experience, promote positive progression and destination, and support local and regional organisations and projects to meet their future workforce needs.
About you
You will have extensive knowledge and experience of current practices and innovations within the Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation sectors and in Further Education. You will have evidence of the effective leading of teams, or be able to demonstrate the passion, desire and abilities required to move from a teaching role into a leadership role.
