      About The School

      Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a passionate Humanities Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Andover. This welcoming, mid-sized school has been graded "Good" by Ofsted and is recognised for its strong sense of community and dedication to student progress.

      The Humanities department is well-established and supportive, and the school places a high value on staff development, offering continuous CPD opportunities throughout the year. While the school includes a sixth form, this role will focus on teaching Humanities subjects across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

      Whether you're an Early Career Teacher looking to begin your journey or an experienced educator seeking a new challenge, this role offers excellent potential. A longer-term or permanent position may be available for the right candidate.

      • Location - Andover, Hampshire
      • Position - Humanities Teacher
      • Type of work - KS3/KS4 Humanities Class Teacher
      • Contract or position start date - 1st September 2025
      • Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing

      • Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temp to perm
      • Full time/part time - Full time
      • Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 162 per day
      • Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm, plus parent's evenings

      Experience, Training And Qualifications

      • QTS or equivalent
      • Minimum 1 year Maths teaching experience in the UK
      • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

      To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

      • Hold Right to Work in the UK
      • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
      • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
