Inspire the Next Generation of Scientists Stamford College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Chemistry to join our thriving A Level department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality teaching on AQA A Level Chemistry programmes, including both theoretical and practical elements. You will support students to achieve excellent academic outcomes, develop their practical laboratory skills and progress confidently to higher education or careers in science-related fields.
Working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing and monitoring student progress, providing timely feedback, and ensuring students successfully complete the required practical and NEA components of the course. You will also contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance activities and the wider life of the department.
About You We are looking for our Chemistry Lecturer to have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
- The ability to motivate learners and support them to achieve their full potential
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion
A recognised teaching qualification and previous experience teaching A Level Chemistry or within Further Education would be advantageous, although applications from industry professionals looking to move into teaching are also welcomed.
