Principal & Chief Executive - New College Swindon
New College Swindon has a bright future ahead, building on the progress that we have already made. A Beacon Award-winning college, our 16-18 and 19+ Adult achievement rates are significantly above the national average, we are a Top 10 college for learner and employer satisfaction and we rank among the top colleges in the country for English and maths progress. It is little wonder, therefore, that Ofsted has recently awarded us with another good judgement and commended our lively and professional environment.
We have also enjoyed tremendous growth, with a burgeoning apprenticeship provision, a successful HE centre and over 500 courses covering most sector skills areas. In September 2018 we will open an 11-18 free school, to further benefit our local communities. We have excellent links with over 1,000 local and national employers, as well as a partnership with Microsoft through the Risual Academy. Furthermore, we have developed an innovative campus and maintained strong finances, currently enjoying an outstanding financial health rating.
All this provides an excellent platform for our new Principal and Chief Executive, to further develop our College and maintain us at the forefront of the FE sector. Following the retirement of our current Principal, we are seeking an inspirational leader who will develop and implement an ambitious strategy to ensure that we become an outstanding provider of training and education, harnessing the internal talent and instilling a culture of achievement. Developing effective partnerships and creating new initiatives, our new leader will ensure the college’s ongoing sustainability and reputation at the forefront of the local community and beyond.
Entrepreneurial and aspirational, our successful candidate will have an impressive track record of achievement at a senior level within the education sector, with the ability to create a strong profile internally and externally. If you have the vision, expertise and appetite to lead us and contribute to our ongoing and future success, we would like to hear from you.
