An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic IT specialist to join the Digital Technologies team. Our curriculum area offers a range of IT/Computing based programmes from level 1 to level 5.
The successful candidate will be a clear communicator with a passion for their subject and have knowledge of general IT but also preferably have specialist knowledge and skills in areas such as programming, networking, game development or multimedia enabling them to contribute to the development of current and future provision
The new team member would be expected to work well in classroom based teaching and assessing, also offering subject tutor support and course leadership to particular groups. The hours of work may include evening and weekend sessions. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining high levels of student attendance, retention and achievement.
The successful candidate will have both vocational and teaching experience and a related undergraduate qualification, plus a teaching qualification, and a qualification in English and mathematics at minimum Level 2.
Good administration and interpersonal skills are essential.
