We are looking for a highly motivated individual with proven communication skills who can continue to drive the provision of wellbeing support forward, maintaining established links with internal and external partners and establishing new links in order to ensure comprehensive support mechanisms are available to promote positive mental health amongst our learners.
As a Wellbeing Mentor, you will undertake initial assessment of students presenting with issues that are impacting on wellbeing and make a recommendation for a plan of support, including providing individual interventions and support to empower students to manage their own wellbeing.
The successful candidates will have experience of supporting people with mental health issues including: dealing with complex situations including crises; working with a range of external organisations and professional networks and promoting positive mental health through awareness raising activities.
A qualification/professional training in an area of professional practice e.g. nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, health/social care/counselling is essential.
