Our faculty’s aim is to offer a contemporary and future-proofed curriculum, co-created with our industry partners and which provides career progression for our students into a variety of Engineering-related career pathways.
You would join our established and busy Engineering teaching team in working towards creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning and assessment on our BTEC level 2 and 3 courses at our Reading College campus. We are seeking candidates who possess a background in teaching and would also value applications from candidates who may not have teaching experience, but who have recent industry experience of working in the field of Engineering, share our values and who would like to work with us to create outstanding learning opportunities for our students.
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification and will have either experience of teaching Engineering BTEC levels 2 and 3 in a further education college environment or will have recent industry experience of working in an Engineering environment. Experience of teaching or working in areas of mechanical engineering such as practical machining, including CNC machining, as well as CAD would be beneficial, as would an interest in microcontroller systems and product design.
