We have a great opportunity at HMYOI Werrington to join the education team as our Curriculum Manager on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.

The purpose of the role is to manage and develop your curriculum area, contributing towards improving standards or Young People's achievement and assisting in the further development of the teaching practice. This is a challenging but rewarding role and we need someone who is flexible and resilient, with the ability to encourage, engage and motivate, to help give children and young people a brighter future.

Werrington Young Offender Institution (YOI) provides specialistcustodial places for boys aged 15-18. There are up to 128 young people atWerrington, either sentenced or remanded in custody. Education atWerrington is at the heart of the regime, with a range of learner pathwaysincluding Multi Skills, Barista, Sports Studies and Music. Core subjectsof English, Maths, ICT and Work/Life Skills are embedded into each pathway andan Advice and Guidance service is provided to young people approaching release

In addition to your annual salary, you will receive a GBP 3,000 taxable attraction allowance, payable on successful completion of yourprobation period (9 months). Followed by an additional GBP 2,000 taxable paid oncompletion on completion of a full 2 years
