The School - SEMH Primary Teacher

There is a strong emphasis on personal development and understanding the next steps of learning. The school caters to children who present with a wide range of social, emotional, behavioural and mental health issues. All pupils have a Statement of Special Education Needs and are aged between 7 and 14.

Person Specification for SEMH Primary Teacher

This position would suit a passionate SEMH Primary Teacher who has a history of 'Good' or better teaching and previous experience teaching children with SEN requirements. The successful candidate will have the right approach to dealing with a busy SEN environment and a cool head around tense situations. As SEMH Primary Teacher will be able to empathise with pupils who have complex learning requirements and take a proactive approach to the role.

About the Role SEMH Primary Teacher

As a SEMH Primary Teacher you will be joining one of the school's KS2 classes as a general class teacher and you will be enjoying the comprehensive support provided by your experienced Behaviour Mentors. Your duties as KS2 SEMH Teacher will include keeping up the school's ethos of a creative classroom is best and working on constant improvement via the school excellent CPD programme.
