At Milton Keynes College the Finance team are at the heart of the Business Partner support areas and require maximum efficiency and accuracy within the team. We are currently looking to appoint a confident and proactive Sales Ledger Administrator to provide effective support.

Based within our busy Finance team at our Chaffron Way campus, you will be working with the Sales Ledger, assisting with day to day duties and providing full administrative support.

You will be responsible for raising invoices in a timely manner to protect the profitability of the College through accurate invoicing and distribution via email and/ or post, and recording details to student / business accounts.
Student liaison is a large part of this role so good communication skills are essential.

You will also be responsible keeping student information and payments updated on the college database.

Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £8,500 - £9,500 per annum

As a successful candidate you will have…

Experience and sound knowledge of working on sales ledgers
Proven experience of working as part of a finance team
Competency in using – MS Excel and Word, and familiarity with an accounting system
The ability to prioritise and plan effectively
The ability to work as part of a team
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good organisational skills and be able to meet deadlines
Thinking ability; able to plan, communicate and problem solve effectively
The ability to identify problems and resolve on own initiative
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
A methodical, analytical and conscientious approach
A results driven attitude and be commercially motivated
A good basic education including GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths and English
The ability to prioritise and plan effectively, with a strong customer service mentality

Good business sense - understand a wide variety of business environments and challenges
