General Technician (Electrical and Electronic Engineering)

(37 hours per week/52 weeks per year)


A vacancy has arisen for a technician to provide technical support for teaching staff and students in the Directorate of Advanced Engineering. The successful applicant will also provide guidance to students on the use of equipment and practical processes associated with Electrical Engineering.


The successful candidate will ideally have a recognised Level 3 Electrical / Electronic qualification (or be willing to work towards) and a minimum of a level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English. Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a classroom, workshop environment or workplace would be an advantage.


The successful applicant will be expected to work flexibly and under pressure to meet deadlines, and be customer focused with excellent communication and organisational skills.
