Learning Mentor - Permanent
Hertford Regional College - Student Services - Broxbourne and Ware Campuses - 21.6 hours per week - Term Time Only 38 weeks
As a Learning Mentor you will support College achievement, attendance and retention strategies by providing a high quality pro-active learning support service.
You will also provide support for learning that contributes to an outstanding student experience from the start of the college journey to progression into further study or employment. This role works directly with Personal Tutors, curriculum staff and Student Services to ensure learners are fully engaged with all aspects of their Study Programme and achieving to the best of their ability. On a day-to-day basis you will spend most of your time supporting learners 1:1 with English, Maths and vocational assignment work.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a guidance, education or support setting with a range of client groups. It is essential to have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification as well as Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grade C). A qualification in teaching, learning support or youth work at Level 3 or 4 will be desirable. This post is also an ideal starting point to a teaching career; HRC offer Teacher Training qualifications as part of staff CPD.

Salary: S3 £18,105 - £19,455 FTE (Actual Salary: £9 ,025.34 - £9,698.32) per annum dependent on experience and qualifications
