Salary within the range of £23,667 to £35,811 per annum pro rata

Variable hours part time up to full time.  Full time is 35 hours per week (up to 23 teaching hours and 12 preparation and other duties)

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to deliver a range of English qualifications. Teaching will commence at the beginning of the new academic year in September.

Most full-time learners will study English alongside their vocational programme. Learners will work towards achieving a minimum grade 4 in GCSE English whilst studying at Suffolk New College. We currently offer two different routes to allow our learners to progress and achieve in English. From September, learners will study either GCSE English or functional skills English.

Additionally, we offer part time adult functional skills English classes that will run in the evening. This will form a part of the role.

You will have a passion for engaging and motivating young adults, demonstrating innovation and best teaching practice to provide an exceptional experience. You will be able to plan and assess effectively to meet the needs of your learners to enable them to achieve their full potential.

Suffolk New College can provide relevant teacher training to those individuals who can demonstrate the potential to become effective teachers.

You should have a degree in English or a related degree or a Level 5 qualification in teaching English along with a teaching qualification or a commitment to obtaining one within a specified period.
