Programme Lead. 18.5 hours per week. Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our English, Maths and Supported Learning curriculum area for a Programme Lead in Skills for Life Maths and English. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in Maths or English who will be able to deliver on a range of Functional Skills and GCSE courses in a range of college and off-site venues.
Combining lecturing with the responsibility for leading and co-ordinating courses and programmes, the Programme Lead will work with a team to plan, deliver and assess learning to achieve student success for cohorts of part-time adult learners, including provision which takes place in community venues. The role will include working with Programme Area Managers to monitor courses and course data and plan programmes to minimise resource and funding. The successful candidate will ensure student progress is tracked and retention and achievement levels are maintained and improved, this is an important aspect of the Programme Lead's responsibilities along with the development and implementation of systems / processes and other improvements to support the management of learning.
Candidates will hold a full teaching qualification, be qualified to level 5 in their specialism and hold a Level 2 minimum in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering high quality teaching and learning. Experience of leading course provision is essential together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality performance indicators and co-ordinate IQA.
