Targeted Sports Development Officer

Targeted Sports Development Officer - Full time (36 hours a week) -

Term Time Only - Cross College - Fixed Term contract until mid-August 2020

Salary - £23,290 per annum pro rata
At Hertford Regional College, the individual learner is central to all our endeavours. The College has seen significant improvement in the quality of its provision in recent years. We received funding from Sport England to increase physical activity with particular emphasis on those who are at present physically inactive. The funding has enabled the College to be in a position to recruit a full time Targeted Sports Development Officer, who will sit within the Student Services team.
The role holder will be working as part of student services team to develop and contribute to a framework to measure and increase physical activities amongst target group and wider impact of the project. This will include promoting physical activity across both sites, coaching and delivering weekly sporting activities and developing links with the wider community to maximise the impact of increased student activity and the ongoing sustainability of their active lifestyle.
Partnership working is essential for the success of this role so you will need to be confident working and interacting with both students and members of staff, and comfortable in problem solving and dealing with issues as and when they arise. More widely, you can expect to work collaboratively with other colleges in the county on mass participation events, competition and festivals.
We are looking for someone who can come up with creative ways to engage students, is well organised, friendly, enjoys interacting people on a daily basis and has excellent IT, customer relations and problem solving skills.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within a sports development environment ideally in an educational setting, and an awareness of National Governing Bodies and Sport England will prove useful too, together with qualities that are aligned to our TEAMHRC Values and Behaviours.
If you are interested and meet the requirements, we would love to hear from you.
We are a vibrant, dynamic further education college across two campuses, with ambitious growth and development targets. Our passion for supporting our community and inspiring our students is manifested in our focused strategies, and we are working hard to make these visions a reality. You will be working in state of the art buildings on our campuses.

Hertford Regional College can offer you free parking, a defined benefit Pension scheme, on site refectory with subsidised coffee outlet, a gym, a library and access to state of the art facilities for staff and learners. As a member of our team you and everybody living at your home address will have access to an Employee Assistance Programme, promoting wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle.

Are you passionate Sports development? Would you be able to inspire our young learners? If so, apply now!
