Estates & Facilities Assistant

We have a great opportunity based across our Northamptonshire campuses in Kettering, Corby & Wellingborough for an Estates & Facilities Assistant to become a key member of our team.

As an Estates & Facilities Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our colleges and students through the provision of a full range of services to ensure the facilities and overall college environments fully support the aims and visions of The Bedford College Group.  These services include but are not limited to security, and building/grounds maintenance. 

Our ideal candidates will have some experience in 1 or more of the following areas:

  • Electrics
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Painting & Decorating
  • General DIY type repairs  

In addition to the above you will also hold or have a willingness to work towards the following qualifications: 

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Manual handling training
  • MIDAS training
  • GCSE Maths & English at grade A - C or equivalent
  • Level 2 Customer Service

Bedford College Professional Services Ltd (BCPS Ltd)

40 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year

GBP 20,000 per annum

25 days holiday per annum

An Enhanced DBS check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.
