Croydon College has a bright future. With a new leadership team in place, a location in the centre of a major regeneration hub and a recent merger with Coulsdon Sixth Form College, we are keen to realise our full potential.
The college is one of the most successful providers of Further and Higher Education in the South East, judged Good in all areas by Ofsted last year, and with similarly strong outcomes in HE in our most recent QAA review. We have a thriving Higher Education offer, which is well aligned to local priorities and has huge potential for further growth and development. Our University Centre Croydon works in partnership with the high performing University of Sussex and is well known for its excellent student support and innovative facilities. We have strong links with over 1,000 employers to ensure that our students benefit from the latest industry-standard input.
The Head of HE is a newly created role to spearhead growth, diversification and excellence in our Higher Education offer. Leading on cross-organisational HE curriculum development and strategy, there is ample opportunity to create, develop and bring to market new degree programmes, while also shaping our degree apprenticeship offer. This will involve working with senior college leaders, university partners and external stakeholders, to scope, shape and gain validation for exciting new provision. We have a fantastic platform for you to build on, in terms of existing student progression routes, current demand for new programmes and a high level of internal expertise.
Our successful candidate will bring robust knowledge and experience of Higher Education, either from an FE environment or from a vocationally-focused HE institute, with a successful track record of developing and leading HE programmes. Forward-thinking, collaborative and with a growth mindset, you will have excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to embed ambition and aspiration.
In return, Croydon College offers generous leave, the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme and a commitment to your continuing personal development in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.
