Educational Communicator (Fixed Term Contract to July 2019)
This post forms part of a programme of development of the College's additional Learning Support provision.
- You will provide support for predominantly hearing impaired learners across the 3 campuses.
- You will primarily be working with Hearing Impaired learners and you will be competent in supporting a variety of hearing impaired learners, both in class and to modify work.
- You will have a Sign Language or RNIB Partners in Learning Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification with either a Communications Support Worker qualification or a teaching qualification and previous experience in a similar setting.
Please note, anyone starting midway through the academic year will have their monthly salary slightly reduced, as staff need to have worked a certain length of time through the academic year to be able to receive continued payment through the summer, when you won’t be expected to work. The actual figure would be calculated once a start date is confirmed. At the beginning of the next academic year the monthly salary will revert to 1/12th of the whole pro rata salary quoted.
