Student Services - Counsellor
18.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time plus an additional 2 weeks)

The College Counsellor offers personal, non-academic counselling support to students.
Applicants should have a recognised professional qualification in counselling, experience of working in an advice and guidance setting and experience of helping people to make decisions about their future.
We are looking for someone with previous counselling experience working in youth work, wellbeing or mental health role, ideally in an education setting.
Key aspects of the role include working across a multi-disciplinary Wellbeing team including counselling, attendance, mental health and safeguarding. The role involves working with students on a one to one basis and liaising with external agencies where appropriate who can provide additional support to them.
We are looking for an excellent communicator who will liaise with the team, support colleagues and take a leading role in our counselling provision.
You will need to have excellent organisational skills as this role demands high levels of coordination, attention to detail and record keeping.
