Trainee Lecturer in Business

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Lecturer in Business with the potential to deliver outstanding student achievement, to drive our continued success in providing high-quality teaching and learning experience and passion for ensuring student success.
This post would suit newly qualified graduates who wished to gain a teaching qualification or newly qualified teachers. Trainees have reduced contact hours, relevant to subject specialism, will increase as you gain in skills and experience. You are supported through a mentoring system and staff development programmes to develop their classroom practice.
As an ambitious trainee lecturer, you will work closely with all the Curriculum Managers and the Programme leader/s responsible for the relevant course provision to maintain and develop the curriculum and maintain the excellent results within the Division and also ensuring students are actively engaged in all aspects of the delivery of Business. You will also liaise with other Cross-College areas to enhance the student experience.
With a relevant degree level qualification, ideally, you will already possess a PGCE or Certificate in Education. However should you not have this, the College has an excellent Staff Development programme where a recognised teaching qualification can be gained.
You will have the knowledge of current issues in Further Education relating to the curriculum area and of BTEC Business specifications. Experience in teaching Business would be advantageous but not essential to this post.
