In this key role, you will have responsibility for the Group land-based and animal management provision including the commercial strategy and its’ operations. You will provide dynamic leadership both day to day and with the commercial operation of these areas.
You will support the Senior Leadership Team by leading on the introduction, design and delivery of the new land-based curriculum at the Dearne Valley College and land-based projects across the RNN Group.
As an operational lead for this area, you will line manage teaching, support and technical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and training and successful commercial opportunities linked to the curriculum. You will set high expectations for learner success and pro-actively drive forward college strategies for the curriculum, quality improvement, digital learning and business engagement which will support the Group’s ambition to become outstanding.
We have entered an exciting phase of curriculum development at the 20-acre site at Dearne Valley College offering new career pathways and qualifications in animal care and land-based studies. You will lead on the land-based curriculum development and undertake due diligence in respect of the sourcing of new animals and the transfer of animals within our collection, as well as establishing commercial activity that supports and enhances the curriculum offer.
Have you got what it takes?
We are looking to recruit a talented individual who has expert animal science and management knowledge; has managed a successful land-based department and who has proven commercial experience and knowledge of providing a curriculum that responds to the business environment. An understanding of animal management within a commercial environment would be desirable.
It is essential that you have proven ability and experience in managing projects to successful outcomes. You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure the new land-based provision opens as planned in September 2020 and is successful.
