Are you an experienced Carpenter / Joiner? Are you a qualified Lecturer or have a strong desire to become one? We are looking for you!

We are searching for a passionate and motivated Lecturer to join our College. A Lecturer who can engage students and really push them to succeed in a career in Carpentry and Joinery.

You do not have to be a qualified Lecturer to apply for this position! We are looking for someone who has been a Carpenter / Joiner for many years and has also trained apprentices / juniors while on the job, whether this be one on one, or in groups.

We want someone who can support students in their understanding of the craft and bring real life examples into their teaching, both in the classroom and in workshops.
The successful candidate will need to:
 Demonstrate superior understanding of Carpentry
 Have strong Carpentry and Joinery experience
 Be inspirational and engage students
 Be organised in all they do and have good attention to detail
 Be confident and have excellent all-round communication skills
 Provide tutorial support and thorough feedback to students and be a point of contact for concerns
 Carry out general administrative tasks and undertake relevant training
 Be a team player and support the department

Essential Qualifications / Experience:
 NVQ Level 3 qualification or above in related field
 Grade A*-C GCSE English & Maths Qualification (or equivalent)
 Industrial experience in the relevant sector(s)
 Teachers Certificate or Training Qualification, either obtained, in the process of completing or desire to complete within first 2 years of working.
