Long Road is a thriving, successful and post 16 Sixth Form College 2,400 students on roll in post-16 studies. Conveniently located close to the M11 and A14, within easy reach of several areas of outstanding natural beauty and the Norfolk Suffolk coast, the college is set next to the Biomedical Campus in its own attractive grounds in the beautiful, thriving and expanding Bio/Technical city of Cambridge. Long Road was judged by OFSTED to be Good all five categories, and we are now taking the next steps to become an Outstanding College.
The College requires 2 daytime Cleaners to provide a daytime cleaning service across the whole College site, including regular toilet area cleaning, indoor and outdoor food areas, litter picking and other cleaning duties related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Previous experience of working as a contract cleaner would be an advantage, however training will be given. A good understanding of the English language will be essential and a good standard of general fitness and good health is required, due to the nature of this role.
Whilst initially a full year post, for the right candidate we are able to negotiate a Term Time Only contract. The role will be fixed term until 31 August 2021. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8.30 – 4.30 and Friday, 8.30 – 4.00.
It is our intention that the successful applicant will be in post for the start of term, on 24th August 2020.
