Health and Safety Officer
Peterborough Regional College is a large, successful college of further and higher education. We currently have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Health & Safety Officer to join our Facilities team.
In this role, you will be working as part of a professional Facilities and Health & Safety team. You will be tasked with conducting risk assessments, doing method statements and writing policies and procedures. You will be leading from the front and driving a high performing safety culture across all departments. This job is sure to be varied and to keep you interested with every day being different. Delivering training and liaising with local authorities when needed will also be part of your responsibility.
The working hours will usually be 8.30 am to 5.00 pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. However, the working hours will vary on occasions dependent on the needs of the College.
The successful candidate will have a good level of education to a minimum of level 2 in English and Maths, along with a qualification in Health & Safety at a minimum of level 3 and experience in a similar role.
You will be a motivated, self-starter who can prioritise their own work and is committed to the team. You will also need the communication skills to work with and advise all levels of employees across the College.
