Colchester Institute is looking for someone to manage, control and organise the Purchase Ordering and Purchase Ledger function and team, ensuring compliance with financial regulation. This includes working closely with other functions to ensure the development and maintenance of processes relating to the business’s requirements.
Additional duties will include supervising the procurement advisor who is out-sourced from a procurement specialist company and who is contracted to provide expert contract management services including contract tendering, negotiations, writing contracts and implementing contracts
You will have a good standard of general education, to include GCSE 9-4 or equivalent in English and Maths as well as Accounting NVQ4 or above (AAT or equivalent). You will have a high level of work experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Purchasing Officer as well as the experience of setting up Excel spreadsheets from scratch.
