We are looking for dedicated and hard-working Learning Support Assistants to join our teams at the Banbury and Bicester College. We are looking for full-time, part-time and casual hours staff and have multiple positions on both a permanent and fixed-term basis.

The successful applicant’s will be supporting students with a range of learning difficulties including Autism and PMLD on courses which are designed for those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities aged between 16 and 22.
The main duties will be assisting students in their classroom-based lessons and supporting self-directed study times with the student on a 1:1 basis. In addition to a student's study programme the LSA may also be following a bespoke programme of learning to support their development of life skills, independence and employability. Our students access courses from Foundation to Level 3.
The salary on offer for these positions is from £18,490 to 22,195 – please note that this is on a pro-rata basis over 38 weeks as these roles are term time only.

Personal care is part of the duties included in this role and training will be provided in giving medical care and support.
About you and what do you need to be successful?
This is a challenging role that requires resilience, motivation, initiative and patience.
You will be able to provide support to students with Autism and associated difficulties; some of which are complex. You will have good communication skills to be able to work with tutors to ensure the delivery of an effective programme of further education and to work as part of a co-ordination team.
