Gas Centre Trainer

35 hours per week

Up to £35,811 per annum pro rata (plus market forces supplement of £4,383 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience)

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the SNC Gas Centre, a brand new domestic training & test facility in the heart of Ipswich. The Gas Centre boasts state-of-the-art industry standard facilities and offers a range of domestic gas safety training packages and certification including the CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1, CENWAT and the new Managed Learner Programme, which provides trainees with the theoretical knowledge and on the job experience, they require to be able to undertake ACS Assessments.

The Gas Centre Trainer will undertake both training and assessment duties, alongside undertaking to teach on study programmes within the plumbing curriculum area. 

With knowledge of current industry standards, trends and technology and experience of teaching, learning and assessment you should have a good understanding of performance targets in relation to education and the ability to motivate and inspire learners.

You should have a good standard of education including maths and English at level 2 (GCSE 4/C) and a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject and up to date Gas qualifications. You should also have an Assessor Award and a teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieving one within a specified period.
