Based at Cornwall College St Austell we are looking for an experienced individual to work as part of our new Creative and Digital Academy as Study Programme Manager for L3 Media. You will work with the Curriculum Area Manager to develop curricula and ensure coherence between the assessment units and wider industry style projects, supporting students and helping them to make a smooth transition into Higher Education, Sustainable Employment or Apprenticeship. The post will include some pastoral care through personal tutoring. You’ll be working in a creative setting where cross collaboration with all of the subjects of TCDA is encouraged and developing links with the local and wider industry is a must. Your ideas and proactive action in recruiting to the course and ensuring its sustainability will be supported and continually encouraged.
The ability to work flexibly across disciplines, experience of a range of teaching methods, support for group and individual work and working as part of a team, delivering workshops and practical sessions is vital. You will be expected to teach a range of subjects, including filmmaking, video editing, camera operating, journalism, audience theory, pre-production processes, creative writing, Advertising and Graphic Design and the development of Maths and English. An up to date skillset and experience of those skills is essential.
