Electrical - Training Coordinator (Assessor)

Are you an experienced and skilled Electrician? Are you a qualified Assessor or have assessing experience? We are looking for you!
We are searching for an experienced and knowledgeable Electrician (Level 3 or above), who is also an Assessor or has assessing experience, to join our Apprenticeship Team, to help us deliver outstanding assessment to a variety of apprentices on employer’s sites.
In this role as a Coordinator you will be required to carry out workplace assessments with your assigned learners. As part of the role you may also be tasked with a variety of duties, which include working closely with your learners, carrying out initial assessments of new learners, overseeing the effective sign ups and ultimately managing those learners through a successful apprenticeship. You will not be responsible for the delivery of the program, but you will be expected to work alongside the delivery team to ensure that each learner is on track.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of recent developments in training, assessing, and verifying, as well as knowledge of work-based learning standards/frameworks.
As part of your role you will:
● Be required to carry out workplace assessments, reviews and set action plans for apprentices.
● Providing instruction, guidance and support to all learners.
● Share your knowledge and expertise with our apprentices in an engaging manner.
● Travel to different employer’s sites to assess apprentices, so you must hold a full UK driving
license and have a car.
● Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent level (level 2)
● A1 Assessor qualification
● Level 3 qualification in the in the relevant subject specialism
If you do not hold the qualifications outlined above but have a willingness to learn The Bedford College Group will support you to obtain these qualifications, alongside further teaching qualifications such as PGCE, Cert Ed or DET.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced criminal records with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
