We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced Staff Recruitment Coordinator, to join our Human Resources team as we embark on a period of innovation and sustained growth.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about recruitment and understand the difference that effective recruitment and selection makes in educating and training the diverse communities in which we serve. The post holder will lead on all staff recruitment, utilising their existing knowledge and experience to advise our recruiting managers on effective documentation, advertising and selection processes, in order to recruit the right people for our unique, forward thinking culture.

The post holder will also be expected to liaise with key contacts externally, to promote the College and its opportunities, in order to provide recruiting managers with the best pool from which to select their new staff member.

About the Human Resources and Payroll Team

Our team is passionate about supporting our staff and managers in the provision of an outstanding service to our young people, in order to build futures and change lives.

The team are responsible for all elements of employment and we are passionate about providing expert support to staff and managers on recruitment, employment law, employment relations, performance management, payroll, pensions and anything else which our customers may need.

The In-House Staff Recruitment Coordinator will lead on all recruitment cross-College, working in a business partner mode with our managers, to understand their recruitment needs and the best ways in which to meet them.

Person specification

  • A strong understanding of the value of effective recruitment and the vision, motivation and ambition to make it happen

  • An appreciation of the purpose of providing outstanding education, training and innovation to young people and the people of Lancashire

  • Understanding of and passion for ensuring the right people are recruited to the right posts

  • A confident and knowledgeable communication style, with the ability to think and advise strategically and tactically in relation to workforce planning; particularly considering our development in University curriculum, as well as Further Education

  • A collaborative approach with both ability to identify and attract talent, whilst managing the recruitment and selection process from start to finish

  • Maintaining and developing effective processes, including the entire induction process for various types of staff and the issuing and return of all recruitment and employment documentation

  • A friendly, positive and hardworking approach to a fast-paced, exciting and unique culture, where you be an integral part of every team who make up our vibrant and energetic College
