Mental Health Practitioner

Croydon College is seeking to appoint an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join its Student Services team.

This newly created post will facilitate and deliver mental health support to students across both the Croydon and Coulsdon campuses, helping students to overcome barriers and realise their potential by providing evidence based 1:1 and group intervention sessions, and a crisis response when needed.

The successful applicant will work with the Head of Student Services to embed a whole college approach to positive mental wellbeing, and ensure all students experiencing mental health issues receive a personalised and holistic package of support.

As the named contact for students with an identified mental health support need, the successful applicant with liaise closely with parents/carers, college staff, partners and external professionals to provide advice and guidance, develop support plans, agree teaching & learning adjustments, and complete risk assessments as required.

You would be joining a motivated and experienced student focused team who are collaborative and proactive in their approach to supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

Applicants must hold a relevant professional qualification and have recent relevant experience working within the mental health field, and experience of working with young people.
