Lecturer In IT

Fractional 0.6 22.2 hours per week

Starting salary of circa. £15,400.80 (pro-rata of £25,668) per annum for non-qualified teachers/ circa. £16,863 (£28,105) for qualified teachers, rising to circa. £17,368.20 (£28,947) with experience in the role

We have a current vacancy within our IT curriculum area and are looking for a 0.6 Lecturer in Computing and IT to join our team.  In this role you will be lecturing within our Further Education provision and working with the team to develop and deliver the new Apprenticeship Framework. Dependant on qualifications held there may also be the opportunity to lecture on Higher Education courses within our University Centre Peterborough.

The successful candidate will have a flexible knowledge base be able to demonstrate skills in a range of IT related areas such as digital security, programming, digital graphics and hardware development. They will ideally hold professional industry and/or academic qualifications in the IT field and have proven teaching/training experience or extensive industry experience.  You may have teaching qualifications, but these are not essential as we will support you to achieve this in-house. 

If you have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to develop and deliver imaginative and high quality teaching to a range of learners, then this will be a challenging, but extremely rewarding opportunity.  You will need to be completely dedicated to education, and entirely committed to helping young people.
