You will provide in class support to ensure learner participation, encourage interaction through support for communication and facilitate inclusion by supporting appropriate behaviour, supporting learners in their understanding of instruction/tasks and note taking. You will ensure reasonable adjustments are made and provide in and out of class support for students with mobility and or sensory impairments. Out of class support may include personal care, encouraging learners to develop their social skills, work experience and educational trips and visits.
With a recognised qualification in support work or equivalent, you will have experience of working with people aged 16 years with Additional Learning Support needs.
Holiday pay will be paid in addition to the rate above.
Please note, this is a casual role which means that specific days and hours cannot be guaranteed, they are offered on a casual ad hoc basis to fit the needs of the service and so may vary. No hours are confirmed and you may not be contacted straight away.
