Technician in Engineering and Fabrication & Welding

Technician (Engineering & Fabrication & Welding)

37 hours per week (40 weeks per year)

Up to £19,956 per annum pro rata

You will be required to assist with day to day activities in our construction areas to support our students studying for Engineering and Fabrication and Welding qualifications. You will be trained to use specialist equipment, systems and techniques. 

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education and hold a Level 3 in a related subject and English and maths at a Level 2 or equivalent.

As part of your role you will contribute to the wider College health and safety activity and therefore you should have a good understanding of health and safety and be prepared to undertake training in these areas e.g. first aid and fire marshall.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich campus however Suffolk New College is a multi campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses
