Offering a diverse curriculum within a vibrant and multicultural learning environment, our goal is to deliver excellent and innovative education which supports and inspires every student to achieve their ambitions.

This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate student to undertake a placement where you can get a rich and insightful experience of counselling in a busy and vibrant college environment. The trainees will provide direct counselling to students. Some of the issues you may face are pressure from exams or deadlines, potential self harm or students facing difficulties at home which affects their student life. You will need to commit to at least four hours a week, (three hours with clients and then time before and afterwards to meet with your placement mentor). There may also be potential for a further four hours whereby you can get involved with mental health campaigns or department activities.

To qualify you must be in the second year of a counselling diploma (or above) which is accredited by the BACP.
