Outreach Practitioner

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team on a full-time fixed term contract basis, working closely with our Head of Inclusive Learning and development to adopt innovative approaches to support young people transition back into education and take next steps to FE.

Whether you’re a Qualified Teacher, Unqualified Teacher, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Teaching Assistant (TA), Home Tutor, Learning Mentor or Support Worker, we would like to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with 14-19 years old with or without an Education Health Care Plan, that have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Difficulties, and/or Specific Learning difficulties. As an Outreach practitioner, you will be expected to develop a good rapport with young people in order to support them effectively at home or on site with transition. You will, therefore, need to have an excellent understanding of SEND, be dynamic and proactive and have strong behaviour management skills.
