Could you drive the Colleges internal communication activities and shape our voice to inspire others about the work we do?


Internal Communications Officer

Location: Sandwell College, West Midlands.


This key, new role will have real impact on how we share with others the work of our wonderful college.

The successful candidate will support the design and implementation of an internal communications strategy and activities. They will be central to ensuring that internal messages help create an environment that delivers outstanding results for the students we serve.

Sandwell College is a great place to work; a large, successful, richly diverse and growing college with a turnover of over £40m.

The College has achieved huge success over recent years and has further, big ambitions for its future. It has two state of the art campuses in West Bromwich accessible through excellent transport links and, having merged with Cadbury College, now has an exciting and growing Sixth Form College in Birmingham. 

The college is continuing with its ambitious plans for development and with the support of local Universities, Sandwell Council and NHS partners are part of a significant multi-million pound Towns Fund investment programme.

 Having achieved ‘Further Education College of the year’ in 2019, driving engagement across all of our campuses is key to our future success.

The successful candidate will develop exciting and engaging content, understand how to deliver it with impact, work at pace and bring an understanding of a range of delivery methods and channels.

In this exciting new role, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your experience of utilising and managing a range of engaging communications channels and tools and seeking to innovate wherever possible. You would be responsible for creating and implementing exceptional engagement programs, fantastic content and finding new ways for our students and staff to connect, collaborate and share their experiences.
